Party Parrot VIP
Native NFT event ticketing on the XRP Ledger.
"Your next unforgettable night starts here. Every ticket is an NFT. Every entry is on-chain. Show up, scan, and let the ledger remember the moment."
The problem
Event ticketing has been broken forever — scalpers buy in bulk, fakes get sold outside venues, refunds are a nightmare, and venues have no ground truth on who's actually inside. The web2 stack has tried everything; none of it solves the trust problem at the door.
The root issue is that every ticket in a traditional system is just a number in a database someone controls. Change the number, print a fake barcode, take a screenshot — none of these are hard. The platform can try to detect them, but it's always a cat-and-mouse game with counterfeit economics that heavily favor the scammer.
What we did
- Designed an NFT-native ticketing system on XRPL where every ticket is an on-chain asset — ownable, transferable, verifiable, and impossible to duplicate
- Built the event creation UX for hosts: spin up an event, set capacity, configure ticket tiers, and publish — all from a browser, no blockchain expertise required
- Built the wallet/checkout flow for guests: connect wallet, select tickets, mint on XRPL, receive the NFT to their address
- Built the scanner app for door staff: scan QR code, verify on-chain ownership in real time, record entry as an on-chain event — no backend database required for the truth
- Built the back-end reconciliation layer across host dashboard, guest wallets, and door scanner — so every party sees a consistent live view of the room
The result
Live in production at partyparrot.vip. Hosts spin up an event in minutes. Guests connect a wallet and mint their ticket. Door staff scan and the ledger records entry in real time. Zero fake tickets by construction — not by detection.
The trust problem at the door is not a policy problem anymore. It's not a human problem. It's a ledger entry. That changes what's possible: faster entry, no disputes, no chargebacks, no "the system says I have a ticket but I can't find it."

Reflections
Once you remove the question of "is this ticket real," the entire event-night experience changes. The door becomes faster, not slower. The host loses the legal exposure of fake-ticket disputes. Guests stop refreshing their email looking for a barcode.
The interesting design discovery: the NFT is not just the ticket. It's the record. After the event, guests have a verifiable artifact — proof they were there. That's a new thing. Paper stubs are nostalgia objects. On-chain entry records are permanent. Nobody asked for that, but once you have it, it's obvious you wanted it.
